Evidence of Team Planning and Decisions

  • quick cuts in the beginning of film to show the repetition of the routine
  • fast motion for driving scene
  • quick shots for hallucinations
  • close up shots for conveying the emotion of the main character and to kind of “see the craziness” in their eyes
  • tracking shots for walking and running
  • voice muffling for break up scene
  • ADR for voices heard in the main characters head

Story Telling Elements

  • breaking the third wall with eye contact to set a psychological and creepy mood
  • quick cuts to focus less on tasks and more on what they imply
  • tracking shots to immerse the audience into the film
  • quick cuts to mimmick hallucinations
  • emotion of main characters face will be distinct and peculiar
  • location will be eerie to set the mood

Film Vision

When deciding on this film, my team knew we wanted to make a somewhat psychological thriller, but we also didn’t want it to have any kind of fantasy playing a part. We decided on the skipping of medication because this is something that an audience could see happening which is what makes it so off putting. We know we wanted to make our film really peculiar and off putting as well as have the ending be the main character going into the water in order to “snap out of it” since water can be a symbol for purness and cleansing.
